WATER AEROBICS AT THE AQUATIC CENTER
Comfort in the water is recommended for all our exercise classes, but knowing how to swim is not necessary. All levels of fitness are welcome and intensity can be modified to meet your ability, so ask your instructor to increase or modify your
workout. Remember, get your workout in before work and get ready at the Aquatic Center. We offer a changing room, shower areas, as well as sinks with mirrors and plenty of outlets, so don’t allow work to get in the way of making time for your good health! Splash Aerobics (ages 14 & up)
Join one of our trained instructors who will choose from a
variety of class formats to give you a great workout! Enjoy exercise to music that will strengthen your cardiovascular system, tone and condition your muscles, and leave you feeling invigorated and physically fit. You will be introduced to a variety of equipment: water weights, noodles, dumbbells, gloves and paddles, bringing variety to your water workout. You need not be a swimmer to participate, but comfort in the water is helpful.

Morning Aerobics (ages 14 & up)
A shape up class for everyone! Join us for a “get your day off to a great start” workout that includes a low impact cardio work out, gentle stretching, and muscle toning. This class offers the perfect mix of deep and shallow water exercise! We incorporate resistance paddles, noodles, and water weights into the work out. You will leave this class feeling energized and invigorated for your busy day ahead!

H2O Circuit Training (ages 14 & up)
Circuit training alternates a cardiovascular exercise with a strength training exercise to elevate your heart rate, burn
calories, and keep you in motion. Your instructor will set up a water circuit in either shallow or deep water using a variety of equipment such as dumbbells, resistance bands, and aerobic steps to complete your workout. Water shoes are
recommended but not required.

Arthritis & Special Population (ages 14 & up)
Increase joint flexibility, reduce joint pain, and participate in group activities in this arthritis water workout. Perform a series of specially designed exercises in a comfortable water depth. The water reduces gravity’s effects on your body for a safe, effective, and pain-free exercise session. If you have arthritis or other physical ailments, you are encouraged to join this class. It is not necessary to know how to swim. For comfort the water temperature is maintained at 83 degrees year round.

Deep Water Exercise (ages 14 & up)
Flotation belts provide an environment of suspension,
eliminating joint impact. The warm up is followed by a 30 minute cardio segment that gets your heart pumping and builds core strength. Focus is then shifted to toning your abs. Our highly trained instructor will then complete the workout with a total body stretch and send you on your way energized!

Water Gym
This is a total body conditioning program executed in the pool. A circuit of exercises designed with your sport’s specific needs in mind. Water Gym develops cardiovascular endurance,
balance, and core stability. A combination of shallow water and deep water workouts will constantly challenge your athletes. If interested we can design a land or spin workout for your team needs. Ask about Athletic Booster sponsorship or pay $68 per team workout. Yoga for Wellness

Yoga creates a sense of ease as you learn to quiet your mind and allow joy into your heart. Mondays follow a gentle
Hatha style while Wednesdays a flow style yoga. Either day will increase strength, stability and flexibility as you learn
breathing techniques to counterbalance stress. Improve your posture and feel the benefits of increased energy, reduced injury and improved range of motion. Bring a yoga mat, small blanket and water. Please arrive 10 minutes early.

Evening Flow Yoga (ages 12 & up)
The new Yoga Flow classes are presented with alignment,
balance, and breathing being chief characteristics. Building strength and flexibility along with relieving of stress are

Yoga-lates (ages 14 & up)
A Yoga-Pilates hybrid workout. Combining the best of these two Mind~Body disciplines this intense, low impact class will begin with traditional Yoga Sun Salutations to warm and awaken the body. Proceed with a creative Pilates “powerhouse” focus to strengthen and lengthen, and finish with light weights in the Pilates style of repetition/sculpt. In the yoga tradition a brief guided relaxation will complete this end of the week workout, leaving you with a smile.

Hooping (ages 14 & up)
Hula hoops are not simply a children’s toy! Use the hoop to improve your endurance, build muscle and cross train your body. Learn basic hoop spins, arm circles and dance movements as you improve your mental and physical focus. Thirty minutes of
outdoor hooping is followed by 15 minutes of core exercises. Hoops are provided. If you bring your own hoop, use a weighted hoop. Class will be taught outside weather permitting.

SUP Lessons
Your introductory SUP clinic will be 1 hour and 15 minutes to take you through all the basics of paddling. Join our Paddle Fit certified instructor to help you find that “sweet spot” on the board, correct paddle techniques, and turning your board. Group Cycling (Spinning) (ages 12 & up)
Group Cycling is a 45 minute exercise class done on a stationary bike and taught by a motivating instructor. Combining energizing music with a unique workout will strengthen the heart and lungs while burning calories. Class will simulate an outdoor ride that, together, you will travel on flat roads, climb hills, sprint and race! The beauty of indoor cycling is that you can ride even when it’s raining or snowing outside! Bring a water bottle and hand towel to class. All classes require pre-registration, with a minimum met by 7pm the evening before the class begins. Registration is for the entire session and if you miss a class it can be made up within 3 months, simply schedule your make-up to ensure an open bike.
