Looking for an American Red Cross certification? If you are interested in any of the courses listed, including instructor courses, leave a message for Michael today at 517/540-8355. We offer full classes with a minimum of 6 participants, or by appointment for review or challenge classes for those who have been certified before, so call today.

Adult CPR/AED & First Aid for the Lay Responder
The purpose of the American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program is to help participants recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The courses in this program teach skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

Lifeguard Training (ages 15 & up)
This American Red Cross course provides participants with the knowledge, skills, and practice needed to become a well trained and effective lifeguard. Learn to perform the skills in a professional manner. Participants must attend all sessions, and with successful completion of the written and skills tests will certify the participant in Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Certifications are valid for two years, and digital copy of book is provided with registration (bring USB thumb drive).Prerequisites: Participants must be 15 years old by the completion of the course, and be able to swim 300 yards continuously using freestyle and breaststroke. Participants must also perform a surface dive to 10 feet, retrieve a 10 lb. brick, return to the surface, and swim 20 yards back to the starting point while holding the brick.

Participants should bring a suit, towel, and goggles for each class as well as note taking materials for classroom work (laptop to display digital copy of book or print copy). Prerequisites will be tested on the first day of class and failure to complete will not exempt you from the refund policy. All dates required and
pre-registration required by May 6.
