The much anticipated Legend of Sleepy Howell presented by the Howell Downtown Development Authority is set for Saturday, October 25 in downtown Howell and you can bet that the Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority will be there making s’mores over the "Creepy Campfire" and holding a "Witches Broom Ball" tournament . <more info>


BUCK POLE

Opening day of firearms season is a day of celebration for those of you choosing to wear hunters orange. And for those of you who bag a buck on opening day in Livingston County, the Howell Area Parks & Recreation Authority and Marion Township want to help you earn your bragging rights at the first annual Buck Pole, where hunters will gather to share stories, photos and enjoy the warming tent, hearty food, a bonfire and chances to win great prizes.  If you were a lucky hunter and bagged your buck on opening day, we invite you to register your deer at the Buck Pole located behind Marion Township Hall, 2877 W. Coon Lake Rd.  <more info>

Howell's history comes to life! Costumed citizens of the past tell of their lives and times on this twilight lantern tour of Howell’s beautiful Lakeview Cemetery. Learn of the way it used to be, how life was "way back when" and about the people who shaped the character of our town. <more info>


YOUTH BASKETBALL LEAGUES NOW FORMING


Our Basketball program for boys and girls grades 1-6 is designed to teach young athletes the game of basketball. Players will become more familiar with skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting.
