Teen Cooking 101 (6th-12th Grade)
Teens can learn to cook a delicious meal with chef Chad at Chemung Hills! Each month we'll have a different theme and a different menu.

Cost: $35/session (Resident) / $55/session (Non-Resident)
Session 2: Chicken
The most common and versatile protein around—chicken! Chef Chad will guide you through fun and flavorful ways to prepare it, including crispy chicken nuggets, juicy fried chicken, and perfectly grilled chicken. Plus, we’ll make homemade dipping sauces and learn how to spice things up with seasoning blends you can use at home.

Session 3: Soups
Warm your soul (and cool off, too!) as we explore both hot and cold soups. From hearty classics to refreshing summer sips, Chef Chad will walk you through flavor layering, broth basics, and creative toppings. We'll also whip up some homemade crackers to take your soup game to the next level.

Session 4: Bread
Get your hands doughy as we venture into the world of bread-making! We’ll cover classic techniques, try our hand at cinnamon swirl bread, and craft rolls that are perfect for any occasion. Chef Chad will also give an intro to sourdough starters and how to keep them alive (no, really).

Session 5: Pizza
It’s pizza night done right! Learn how to make your own dough from scratch, create signature sauces, and try fun topping combinations—from classic to creative. Everyone will make a personal pizza to enjoy and prep a pizza kit to take home and bake later.

Session 6: Cookies & Desserts
We’re ending on a high note—desserts! Chef Chad shares some of his all-time favorite cookies and decadent baked treats. We'll mix, bake, and package up some sweet creations to share… or keep all to yourself. You’ve earned it.

Sourdough Workshop (Ages 12 & Up)
Join us for an educational workshop to learn how to make your own sourdough bread. Bring a large spoon, apron & a mixing bowl. Leave with a loaf in progress, an established sourdough starter in a mason jar, tea towel, & a wealth of knowledge to bake bread & ACHIEVE optimal gut health!

Eat the Rainbow (All Ages)
Join us with your little ones for an educational event on nutrition. We will discuss the importance of eating the rainbow of fresh fruits and vegetables and will share simple tools that will make a huge impact on your family’s health.
