Tot Time at the Oceola Community Center
Thursdays, 10:00am-11:30am
Calling all those who have toddlers or kids under 5! Drop in at the Oceola Community Center Thursdays from
10am-11:30am for Tot Time in the gym! Kids Under 5 and their caregivers are welcome to use the gymnasium space during this time. Strollers may be pushed on the rubber flooring around the gym. Kids can run around the gym space and we will have lots of balls, toys, and more for your little one to play with.

Cost: Kids 5 & Under are Free! $2 adults.
Nerf or Nothing (Ages 7-10)
Friday, October 3rd - 6:30pm-7:30pm
Join us for an action-packed night of Nerf battles at The Hive. We’ll play multiple rounds just for fun—no winners, no losers, just Nerf or Nothin’! Participants are welcome to bring their own Nerf blasters as long as they use standard Nerf darts. Please do not bring darts or ammo. We’ll provide plenty of darts and extra blasters for everyone to enjoy.
Deadline to register is September 26th.

Night of the Living Nerf (Ages 6-11)
(Ages 6-8): Thursday, October 30th - 6:30pm-7:20pm
(Ages 9-11): Thursday, October 30th - 7:30pm-8:20pm
Get ready for a glow-in-the-dark showdown like no other! On the eve of Halloween, the gym transforms into a spooky battleground where foam darts fly, zombies lurk, and only the bravest can survive. We’ll crank up the black lights, pass out glow gear, and let the Nerf chaos begin. Bring your own Nerf blaster (or borrow one of ours), we’ll provide the darts, glow gear, and ghoulish fun. Costumes are welcome just make sure you can run, dodge, and survive the Night of the Living Nerf!

Storytime Yoga (Ages 3-8 & Their Caregivers)
Halloween Edition: Wednesday, October 22nd - 4:00pm-5:00pm
Join Miss Missy for a special Halloween-themed Storytime Yoga session. This one-hour adventure blends movement, stretching, and storytelling to spark imaginations while promoting relaxation and fitness. Kids and their grown-ups will enjoy a playful seasonal tale paired with fun yoga poses, making this session both festive and active. Costumes are welcome (optional), adding to the holiday spirit while we move and play.
Please register under the child’s name and include the adult who will be attending with them in the prompt section.

Kids and their grown-ups will enjoy a cheerful seasonal tale paired with playful yoga poses, making this session both joyful and active. Ugly Sweaters are always welcome (optional) to add to the seasonal spirit while we move and play.

Turkey Toss Free Throw Challenge (All Ages)
Saturday, November 8th - 10:00am-1:00pm
Kick off the Thanksgiving season with our Turkey Toss Free Throw Challenge. This lighthearted competition is open to all ages, giving everyone a chance to step up to the line and show off their free throw skills. Winners in each age group will go home with a Thanksgiving turkey.
Whether you’re aiming to bring home a turkey or just want to cheer on friends and family, this event is a fun way to celebrate the season and enjoy some holiday laughs before heading home. Please note that only one turkey prize may be awarded per family.
Event Timeline:
• 10:00am-12:30pm - Drop-in shooting. Participants take their shots and log scores with staff.
• 12:30pm - Winners and tie-breakers announced for each age group. Anyone not present at this time forfeits, and the next highest scorer moves up.
• 12:30pm-1:00pm - Sudden-death shootout for tie-breakers in each age bracket.
Age Groups:

• Ages 18 and older

Start Smart Basketball (Ages 3-5)
Tuesdays, November 11th - December 16th - 6:15pm-7:15pm
Get your little one moving with Start Smart Basketball. This six-week program teaches the basics of dribbling, passing, catching, shooting, and agility in a fun, non-competitive setting. Parents join their child on the court for one-on-one skill building and quality time. Join Coach Hunter for another exciting session where fundamentals meet fun.

Parent and Child Holiday Charcuterie Board Class
(Ages 8-18)
Wednesday, November 12th - 6:30pm-7:30pm
Looking to impress this holiday season? This hands-on charcuterie class is perfect for young creators and their adults to explore the art of building a beautiful, crowd-pleasing spread. Chef Chad will guide you through layout techniques, balancing flavors, and customizing boards for any taste. Plus, get his top recipes for dips and snack mixes to take your board to the next level!

Parent and Child Holiday Cookie Creations (Ages 8-18)
Thursday, December 4th - 6:30pm-8:00pm
Mix, bake, and create sweet holiday memories in this hands-on cookie class for young bakers and their adults! Together, you will learn how to make classic holiday cookie doughs, practice shaping and baking techniques, and pick up a few simple decorating tips to finish them off with festive flair. Chef Chad will guide you step by step and share his favorite recipes so you can recreate the magic at home. Each pair will leave with a batch of fresh cookies, perfect for sharing or keeping for yourself.
