Do you have what it takes to complete the Headless Horseman GRAVEYARD Challenge this October? You’ll play the part of Ichabod Crane as you run for your life away from the horrible Headless Horseman. The chase/course will include 5 of Howell’s most prominent cemeteries through Marion Township, City of Howell, and Oceola Township, equaling 17 total miles.
Participants will not run the literal route between the cemeteries but are encouraged to chip away at the 17 mile total during the two week event by running, walking, biking, etc. A link will be sent out to participants to log progress through Runsignup and fun additional challenges will be included.
Deadline to register is Thursday, Oct 1st. Registration includes long sleeve tech shirt. Men’s, Women’s, and Kids sizes available. For this program, all shirts will be shipped to the participant unless the “pick up” option is selected during registration. T-shirt pick up will be at the Bennett Rec Center at 925 W Grand River, Howell on Oct 16th from 4pm-8pm. Shipped shirts will also be sent out Oct 16th.
Please note that funds from this program help to cover not only costs incurred from the program itself but also help to make the Legend of Sleepy Howell possible. This longstanding community event offers a fun and safe trick-or-treating experience and helps especially those kids living in rural areas. Thank you for your support!
